Sometimes mistakenly referred to as skids — unlike pallets, skids do not have the underlying deck boards that provide additional support — pallets are flat, platform structures that facilitate the movement of goods with a lift truck, pallet jack, AGV or on a conveyor. Comply With International Shipping Standards with our Presswood Pallets

If you ship your company’s products beyond U.S. borders, you must ensure you comply with the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15. ISPM 15 states that all shipping materials (pallets, dunnages, crates etc.) that are made from wood and have a thickness exceeding 6mm must be debarked and treated before shipping to prevent insect infestation and other forms of contamination.

 

Materials exempt from ISPM 15 regulations include non-wood materials such as paper, plastic and metal as well as manufactured wood products including plywood, hardboard and pressboard.

 

 

Wire Mesh Pallets

Wire mesh pallets work for loads that may be susceptible to bacteria growth, such as foods, are easy to clean, durable and carry comparable loads to other pallets. Our wire pallets come in standard sizes, such as the 48"x40" size. Forklifts have access on all four sides of these shipping pallets. There are stackable and nestable varieties. AS/RS pallets are captive skids or slave boards that replace plywood sheets or rental pallets in high bay storage systems.
